I just picked up this nice little tablet when I was in the Corporate Metro Store...

After 3 months of service, receive $80 digital rebate which makes this table Free after spending $45 for 3 months of service. I went to a corporate store - they did not charge for SIM & no Activation Charge either.

Probably not because when I tried sim from MetroPCS iPhone in different iPhone (unlocked to any carrier) it disabled the service, meaning they keep track of sim number in their system and pair it to activated device at first activation
You may be able to do it with your own tablet but TOS for this promo states "Requires tablet line added to any Metro smartphone plan". I had mine added to $25/mo single line voice service promo that they have.
Yeah, they tie the IMEI of the device & the SIM ICCID together. You may be able to call customer service & ask to change the device IMEI tied to the SIM (like you can with the phones) but don't know if they would do it and/or use that to deny the rebate.
