I got the hardcover and it's on the coffee table. Me when my friends kids come over - wanna see something cool but you better be gentle. Kid - wow (flips through all the pages in 2 seconds and then runs off)

Same here! I've been hesitant to really "use it" because I'd like to keep it closer to "mint". Now I can actively flip through the Digital version at no risk! And grabbed it for "free" with saved Digital Credits! Thanks OP!

Seems like this would be much better as a physical book. Is it satisfying to read through at paper white size?

For sure the book is the best experience- but it is also huge. I figure you can zoom into each character highlight in a page on a tablet.

Have an older version of the Marvel Encyclopedia. It is awesome. Great for reading to the kids at bedtime.
