Wish they put the battery compartment outside, so junk can't get in there.

I bought this a few months ago for the same price. While it isn't a "Friday sale price" it is still a good deal. This is a decent buy in 5 months I have had it.

Pros-
used 2 d batteries that last me 3 months on average
There's a metal loop that you put on so the trash bag doesn't fall in by accident
The lid is super sensitive and will open when anyone is near it (especially pets)

Cons-
The lid needs to be throughly cleaned when you have a full bag change. There is a ton of cavities that just get caked with residue

The battery cover is in the back of the lid so it won't get junked up. But everything under the lid & inside is a big time collection area. Make sure to clean it after each bag change

Tempted, but I prefer a foot pedal one over sensor. One less thing to break…. And foot pedal 100% works?

For filler get the 4 C batteries or 13 gallon garbage bags you'll need
