I went to the store yesterday because I lost my phone. They were offering the iPhone SE for $99 + $15 + $50 first month of service. The deal states that you need to port in a number but it was NOT required. Bought it and stuck in my post paid sim. Great replacement phone cheap.

I believe so yes, but not the other way around.

Cricket SIMs/service should work in an AT&T prepaid device, but AT&T prepaid SIMs/service won't work in a Cricket device. That's how it used to be at least.

Miraculously, I am still using an original SE and have avoided upgrading due to being a cheap ass and wanting a deal on a new SE without a new contract commitment.

How many GB is the new SE phone and are there options to pay more for more storage? Hard to tell without going into a store on Black Friday.

The original SE has the smaller size, which some people like. I actually like the size for holding it to the ear while talking. I still have 2 of them but don't use them due to sucky batteries.

I have had my battery replaced a couple times for that reason! I think it was $20-$30, but way cheaper than a new phone.
