It's good deal For a gamer but for productivity the 2021 m1 base model is twice as fast and similar price.

I'd go for the Asus for $1550 at Bestbuy myself.

Are there any quality issues with the ASUS? I have no idea. I have a 2016 Razer Blade 14 which is still in great condition (but the 970m doesn't run a whole lot of today's games....)

TDP is 80w-100w with boost so no. You are looking for 140w TDP 3070.

None that I've experienced (I own one). I love that it's got a ton of horsepower on tap and is barely over 4 lbs. Some drawbacks to be aware of:
- Ram is 16GB and soldered
- No built in webcam
- Being thin/light you're going to get slightly less performance out of the 3070 than you will on a chunkier laptop with more airflow options, though I haven't noticed overheating or throttling on long 1440p / 120+ fps gaming sessions.

The only configuration they have left has a 1080P OLED screen. I would jump on if not for the OLED screen. They look amazing but still suffer from burn-in, and I buy my laptops for long term use. I don't want to be constantly trying to mitigate burn-in.

I think that's wrong - when I go to the product, it shows an 11th Gen i7 with 64GB RAM and an OLED screen. I thought I hit the jackpot, but it's definitely a website error because the model number that adds to your cart is what the OP put in, which I don't believe has an OLED screen.

Not bad just a little disappointing that it's the "older" 2021 model. The newer one has 11th gen Intel, better fingerprint resistance, and is ever-so-slightly thinner...I think.

So as others pointed out, this is a lower power 3070. That said, this is super thin and great to travel with. If you intend to get a desk queen, look elsewhere, better deals can be had for higher wattage 3070s and maybe even 3080s. If you want portability it's hard to ignore the blade.
