Sharp. If you have a 15-45mm lens, play around at the different lengths and if 16 works for you, then this is a great way to go. If not then step up to 30/50s.

Awesome lens, used it for landscape photos when we went to Hawaii - highly recommended, especially for $300

edit: this is also a lot of vloggers go-to for entry level setup. At arms length this lens is just about perfect for most

Not good for portrait, unless you want an environment portrait where the person takes a very small portion of the photo.

You want a lens with the focal length between 45mm to 90mm for portraits. If you get an APSC lens, you would need to multiply the focal length by 1.5 or 1.6 (for Canon len) to get the full frame equivalent.

The best lens I own for my M6 is the Canon 32/1.4. The Sigma is tempting as I don't have anything that bright in that focal length, but I don't use my Canon enough to justify adding yet another lens to the collection. I find myself reaching for my A7iii whenever I want to bring an interchangeable lens camera along. Would love to get an M6ii body to renew my interest in Canon M, but haven't seen a decent deal on the II yet.

This is a wide angle lens more suited for landscape with good low light performance. Not ideal for portraits.

I'd recommend 50mm f1.4 or 85mm f1.4 for portrait, this 16mm will give you quite a lot of distortion, this lens should be good for landscape and vlogging

I have this lens. Sigmas 56 mm is way nicer on my M50, but this one is just ok. Not as crisp of pictures. I'm a semi-noob.

The only issue for vlogging would be the size, it is not a small lens, but at 26mm eq focal length, certainly good for that.
