Microsoft is selling it for $139 now on sale. Any reason it get from woot or Microsoft? Either better?
If it's the same price it might be nice to go through MS in case replacement is needed... These are kinda notorious for some getting stick drift but they're offering a 1 year warranty now. Pretty easy to get it replaced but still a bummer for a 2-3x times as expensive controller. It is a premium controller when it works, though!

Microsoft also offers an extended 3 year warranty for $20. Well worth it for such an expensive controller that will take some abuse.
I just got my xbox and I'm using regular controllers. Is this a world of a difference? Is it worth double the price of a regular controller?
Depends on what you play and if you're going to use the features on the controller.. I play a lot of FPS games and I love mine.. been using an elite since the first one was announced..
I do find myself mapping buttons for non FPS games too though..
I have one. After two times used, I got stick drift really bad. Had to send it in to Microsoft for a replacement. Just know you might have to send it back for a replacement.
As someone who is on their fourth Elite Series 2 due to QA issues, and now stuck with one with an issue out of warranty, I don't recommend buying this even at $135. I wonder if these discounts mean that a successor is on the way. If so, I really hope they fix the QA issues.
