In for one. Ignore the reviews, they lump in reviews for all different models.

Well, it was a good deal on a PSU, especially with no rebate.

I wouldn't say ignore the reviews. I have this exact model and it had to be RMA'd because it was causing excessive coil whine with my GPU. Due to the excessive RMA time, I ordered a Corsair RMx series PSU, which solved the problem. I did receive the Seasonic back eventually and have it used in my test bench/build station.

That being said, any piece of electronics is subject to coil whine or faults. I have used Seasonic PSUs for 10+years without any issues aside from this one. It's just important to understand that even the best of the best can have issues, and that shouldn't be ignored.

This is a solid deal either way.

How's the QC and longevity on Seasonic? I see that they're rated highly but I'm not familiar with the brand. I know Corsair is known for their QC but they're also more expensive. I've had three eVGA PSUs and never had issues with any of them.

Always running 24/7 seasonic ( and rebranded) for all my 24/7 linux container machines . 3 machines. No issue with coil whine , well it generates whine on my oldest seasonic that is 7 years old and counting… when switching to simulated backup ups during black out or thunderstorm

90 bucks is a good deal for seasonic platinum

Seasonic manufactures Corsair PSUs, that being said seems like Seasonic PSUs have issues with coil whine. So it might be more of a QC issue got the 1k Focus from Newegg but have not built it yet… crossing my fingers that I have a good unit 😅😂

Will this be an overkill for 5700G + RTX 3060? I need a reliable PSU!

Nah.... overkill would be 1000W~1500W range

You'll have a nice overhead..which is always nice to have... [whatpsu.com]

God if only it came with white cables for my black and white build. Been trying to get one for years now, just putting it off.

Corsair is 750W is $99.99 -- that one doesn't have white cables either lol.

without overclocking anything,
your system run less than 400w.

550w is more than enough if you have any good deal.
