Price: Sonicare is def cheaper per toothbrush with this deal
Clean: OralB seems to give a better clean because it uses both mechanical and sonic to clean vs. just sonic with Sonicare
Connectivity: my old Sonicare brush didn't have this feature and I haven't set up my new OralB (I feel that Bluetooth connectivity to tell me how I'm brushing is gimmicky) so no comment here
Battery: Sonicare would last around 2 weeks per charge. We just returned an iO Series 7 (and got the Series 9) because the battery on the Series 7 only lasted 4 days on one charge! Not sure if it was a faulty brush, but that definitely won't work as I travel a lot (plus the Series 7 didn't have a charging travel case). No comment yet on the Series 9 battery life since I just literally opened it.
Aesthetics: I think Sonicare wins this category hands down. The smooth brush handle with the integrated lighted mode indicator inside the surface of the handle is very sleek. Yeah, the OralB has a fancy colored screen with happy/sad faces, but the power and mode buttons are rubber and the build of the OralB just feel less refined. The brush heads are angled on the bottom so they can't stand on the counter when you remove them to clean the handle. Why???? Also, little things like the brush heads NOT coming with clear plastic caps to protect and keep the bristles clean are a bit annoying. Sonicare heads have caps! OralB's charging base is super basic. Just a little magnetic puck vs. Sonicare's elegant charging cup… and the OralB's travel case feels super cheap. It's straight up an oval piece of plastic vs. my old Sonicare's thatched/weaved fabric-covered molded hard travel case.
I think I'm going to keep the OralB for now, since I do feel it cleans a TEENY TINY bit better that the Sonicare. Do I feel like it's worth the extra $$$? Not really. Once it's time to replace the OralB, I will probably be switching back to Sonicare unless OralB ups their game dramatically. Hope this helps.

I just ordered online. I needed the 2 white handles (which I couldn't find in store, only pink and black variations were there) and figured even with the $5 shipping this is WAY cheaper than what I usually pay for them.
Tbh I never use the app features so they are more of a gimmick for me but for those that want it it's there
Edit: Looks like this Costco specific model of the Diamondclean Smart MAY NOT have the Tooth location tracker. Please someone confirm this for me. Never seen the Diamond Clean Smart 9000 before only 9300, 9500, 9700 designation is used for them

If you don't care about mobile connectivity and if you only need one instead of 2 then you might consider ProtectiveClean 6500. On sale at Amazon for $90.

Agree on the battery life, my Oral-B lasted much longer, only charged it once (week 3) on a month-long romp across Europe. The Sonicare (refurb warranty replacement) will give about 9 days.
The Oral-B seems more robust, I dropped it on the floor, dropped into a full sink and it still works. I had to warranty both handles on the Sonicare for broken posts. My current handle is making unwelcome noises, so I'll probably go to the warehouse and grab a set.
