Extra 5% for paying with a Prime card (worked with Store card, probably works with Prime Visa). Also I got a banner to activate an offer for $10 off an order for paying with Store card rewards, but I had zero.

Cheaper than Costco and I foresee a lot of SD members will be returning theirs to Costco Smilie Very tempting price but I'll stick to multiple 1st gen 1TB I got at Walmart on close out. Hope to see cheaper price by next BF.

No, this is good/great price for 2TB drives, if you need the speed. Typically around $250 or so.

What do people typically use this for? I don't mind grabbing one but I'm not sure if I have the need for speed (pun intended).

I typically use a 256 GB SSD laptop, so having a 2 TB external SSD with fast speeds is useful for when I need to offload audio and video files or movies/music.
