If you aren't doing trading (which I think doesn't work with this option) make sure you select the echo with the free smart light bulb for the same price!

I was just going to post this. They show up in the cart as two items with the echo dot priced at $24.50. It may be possible to return the bulb and pay only $24.50 for the dot alone.

I'm probably not going to go for this because I don't need another dot, just posting in case someone else is interested in trying it.

Which is better? This or the original echo 1st gen released in 2014. Looks like the original echo has larger speakers. Cant tell any other difference other than clock on the dot

Too bad they don't apply their trade-in discount immediately now. I wanted to trade in my previous gen echo dot but if I did I would miss this deal.

This is an echo dot, not echo. It is larger, not smaller than, the original echo Dot.

I understand, im asking if the original echo not the original echo dot. Im referring to the echo released in 2014, the one that is like a tall cylinder shape, is better than this echo dot.

One thing to keep in mind, if you do the deal with the free lightbulb, you only get 5% back on your amazon card. If you do the one without, then it is 10% back. If you do not need/want the bulb (and I can say personally I have this one and it drives me nuts lol), it might make more sense to do the one without the free bulb.
