I use microSD only for storage but I am pretty sure you could run stand alone exe as well

Is that i5 chip good enough for normal use? I primarily use it to remote desktop into my work computer and web browsing. No coding or video editing.

Yes. I have a MS Surface Pro 4 i3 4gb ram from 2016 and that is more than enough. and I always have tons of tabs open. My only complaints are the screen flickering issue, low battery life (down to 2 hours now), and 128 GB. The microSD slot works well but I feel that a SSD is best.
