It doesn't matter if Amazon is listed as the seller and shipper because Amazon went to a merged inventory system years ago. When a "sold by Amazon" item is sold, the item is simply pulled from any available inventory and shipped.

As a result, you will get whatever stock Amazon has on hand irregardless of where the stock came from. The fake sellers know about this and plan accordingly. Amazon knows about it too, but is too greedy and arrogant to bother to do anything to combat it.

I've gotten enough fake memory cards from Amazon the last couple years that I simply don't bother to buy them there anymore, no matter who is listed as the seller.

Use H2Testw to test for fake cards. 1tb is gonna take awhile though. I got fakes from amazon before (not 3rd party) so beware.

I think the big question is whether we'll see better price for 1TB card tomorrow. Was expecting sub-$100, which technically this is if you Amazon prime credit card

I wouldn't take the risk. I did some checking and supplies are limited on this particular SKU. For instance, BHPhoto is out of stock. I went ahead purchased it. If the price drops further on Cyber Monday I will ask for a credit.

Doubtful this is a retailer specific problem. Someone who bought the WD 14TB Elements Drive from Bestbuy this week are reporting that the drives inside are not the correct size.

The SanDisk card is now far cheaper than the generic Amazon Basics 1TB mircoSD card which sells for $142

I got the u3 SanDisk from Newegg last night with the 15% off ZipPay coupon for $136. Used Chase/PayPal for another 5% back, so net price was $129. Not am earth shattering deal, but good enough for me considering it is the best 1TB micro SD card out there.
