I've got a hackzall for about $100 and a drill and driver set for another $100 a month ago during the hack deals. This deal is good too, but as I needed both drill and driver, the hack deals worked better for me.

I'd love a 12v impact but after using the surge 18v I don't think I could settle for less than the surge 12v.

The surge is quieter then the fuel . From what I've seen with the fuel and the surge being compared , the fuel out performs the surge .

I swear I just saw a Makita 12v drill/impact combo for about $100. I can't find it on SD. Maybe it expired??

EDIT: my bad, it is a Bosch 12v combo for $99. Might be something to consider if you don't want to wait for a Makita or Milwaukee deal.
