Also checking the history of pricing it looks like the pandemic really kicked up the prices over the past couple of years. Oh well, had been waiting for a sale and used this opportunity to get one.
yeah, these Ooni 12's are litterally 12 inches wide, so any small pie has a chance of being too close to the walls or you bump it into the walls going in/out.

All that said, I would absolutely suggest the 16 over the 12 overall. The change in burner design and additional space for larger pizzas is helpful.
