Its the same reason why people post AD's for black friday sale ahead of time, so you dont get screwed and make an INFORMED decision on WHEN to buy it, if at all. The sooner you attain this information the better.
I got screwed because Steam had it on sale and i picked it up when two days before Slickdeals has posted it was going to be free on Epic Games starting a few days later. I had already played a +2 hours of the game and a refund was no longer an option.
Why are we even arguing this? This does not affect you (and if it does move along), nor do any of these pessimistic snarky remarks to the OP benefit anyone.

But then I thought about my nephew (8) and he talks a lot about 'coding' (the cool term for software dev aka programming) but he's a xbox, ipad, game hack 'console' type of guy who has no idea what's going on underneath the covers.
Would this be interesting or educational - or is it just a game?

There's better games for learning how to code, but this seems like it'll do a pretty good job of learning AI-related topics at a basic level (they provide links to more educational material). Obviously haven't plated through too much of it, buy it looks like it's going to be all "visual programming", no code. There seems to be a reasonably entertaining theme layered on top of it.
If your nephew is logically inclined, I'd say it's worth a shot. Especially since it's free.
