For the most part, this is a great reboot. First 2 seasons were great. Starting the 3rd season, the voice of Leonardo was changed to Seth Green and I'm not sure if it was because he was involved or something else but the show became much more supernatural and I feel the quality dropped. The space season has good moments but not really re-watchable. Last season brought it back around quality wise with the battle with the triceratops race and some sad moments. Overall, really enjoyed the series, especially Mikey but wished they had cut back on the supernatural aspect, as that was not as creative, entertaining or age appropriate for younger kids.

This was so good until they brought in the rat king and it went all dark and gross for the rest of the season. We stopped watching after that.

This was by far the best TMNT series. It had an origin story that actually made sense.
Splinter being master sensei human and being mutated to a rat instead of learning as a rat by reading a book or watching people.

I thought this was a great series. I watched it with my kids. It's quirky enough for the kids to enjoy (albeit it's a darker tone than other kids shows), but it's also gritty enough and filled with call-back Easter eggs for the adults to enjoy. It does dive into the extraterrestrial stuff, but I feel that the arc was an ode to the comics. This series is enjoyable. My favorite after the OG.

Yes- Nickelodeon TMNT are the ones that are currently on HULU. If you're looking to drop Hulu and your kid loves this (like mine does), than it may be worth the $20. Also iTunes allows you to download it onto apple devices, like an iPad or iPhone for road trips.
