now you can find out who your real dad is and just how busy your mom was when your current dad was away, say in the service fighting hard (no pun) for his country.
You won't find any of that shit out with this, this isn't the dna test.

Can I buy a gift membership for someone who is already registered with Ancestry?
Yes, as long as your recipient doesn't have an active, paid subscription. If you buy a gift membership and then find out your recipient has an active paid subscription, you can transfer the gift membership to someone else by calling Ancestry Member Services via the local phone numbers below—or request a refund within thirty days of your original purchase date, as long as it is prior to the gift start date that you selected when you purchased the gift membership. No refunds are available after the gift membership gift start date.
I entered some family history on the website, and found out years later while doing a random search the info was now available on the web to everyone, was not there previously, obviously any info you submit is now available to everyone, It was family death that I only had knowledge of since it was a century ago,
This is the best Ancestry.com deal of the year...one which many subscribers wait the year for. Although occasionally one can find a 50% off deal, those other deals generally only allow for a 6 month subscription. I always wait for this deal, initiate the "gift" to myself in mid January...and in that manner can do this deal year after year.

If you care about privacy, don't do any DNA test with an American based company. They will share your information if they are requested by a court or police order
