Don't be that guy. He clearly said "comfortable" and you changed his words to "safe". Those are very different words. You can never be too safe. Many people get too comfortable. I'd argue that you should never feel 100% comfortable with a table saw or an angle grinder.

Anyone make a jig like this before? $50 for a handle to move wood through a table saw seems high.

I see a $5 off coupon, but that still a bit more than $47.

I was just using mine for the first time a couple days ago and earlier today. It's a really good product and made me feel comfortable using the table saw for the first time.

I agree this rarely goes on sale. I watched for more than a year before I finally got one last December using a $20 of $50 Citi offer - ($59-$20=$39). As far as making your own, I suppose you could but you'd need to find some good gripping material and you'd still have to figure out how to make the gap adjustable. This is a well-made safety device though and not something I wanted to craft on my own. It's not like a push stick that we all can make or even a sled.

There is a 3rd party seller that is bundling this with a dovetail clamp AP for $60
The clamp by itself sells for $30, so it you needed the clamp, effectively makes the grr-ripper $30

I use tile grout floats. A lot of other woodworkers do too.

Tile grout float suggestion is very good.

My complaint with this is that the rubber isn't grippy enough when I was trying to cut prefinished flooring. Don't want to put the finish side down as it will be scratched.

Works fine for non-finished wood.

You could print your own. I've been wanting to try this, but haven't had the time.

I've a grrripper and I haven't used it in 2 years. You're correct - you can make very simple push sticks out of any stock you have laying around. My go-to is half-inch ply. Quite a few YouTube videos on various approaches.
