It's a good thermostat but make sure you have the requirements. I ended up going with an Ecobee though in our new house. When we had to replace our A/C, the tech was glad to see the Ecobee. He said they are easier to work with and have all necessary parts for older house. It's what he recommends now for smart thermostats. Setup was easy and the customer service was top notch when I had an installation question.

This unit is basic and works as intended. The UI is likely better than amazon thermostat for just a little more.
some people want to add sensors, but for me the minimalistics of this triumps everything else
If you have 2 floors on a single zone, adding a sensor for the upstairs that's used only during the night is smart. That's actually one of only two reasons I use a smart thermostat. The other reason is geofencing for automatic away mode.
I got this for $10 from APS.. dont really need it.. will list it in offerup for like 60 and I sold one like by similar way as APS gave 2 thermostats free this year.. we have to pay tax and it comes to around $10.
