I was debating on getting a good blender this time. I have had blenders from just bare $30 to $150 that were hamilton beach, Nutri bullet, Ninja, Ninja professional series with upto 1100 W. All used and lasted within the last 6 years time period. I was this time ready to shell upto $600 for a solid and powerful blender. I primarily use it for making smoothies, daily. I settled down buying the E320 at Costco which comes with additional bonus of PCA and Two 20 Oz personal cups. The Vitamix box says 7 year warranty and I think since I purchased this with my costco visa card that should add more 2 years and 1 more year with executive membership. I have also registered this product at Vitamix site that also awarded me with some points for rewards. Not to forget if you have exec membership + costco card you nearly get 4% CB. After using this for nearly 7 days daily, smoothies have been absolutely fantastic. I add lots of different ingredients daily, just to give an idea, I dont get half churned blackberry seeds, pomegrenate seeds and chia seeds. All the seeds are very well churned and blended. Super smooth texture and nothing to chew in mouth after the sip. Completely satisfied my needs. I would be happy if it just lasted me like this for 4 to 5 years, I would be happy to buy the same model again.

I want to go with a Vitamix but hard to decide on which one.

Here's an excerpt from one of the reviews that indicates the price might have been even lower at one point a couple years ago:

"The Vitamix V1200 reconditioned is my first high speed blender, and it does not disappoint! I bought it during the anniversary sale for $260, which included the 64oz low-profile container as well as the 20oz cup with base. Everything looks and operates as new, and I am extremely pleased after about a week of daily use"

Yes, they go lower. Run a quick search if you're curious. $220 probably isn't going to happen, but a bit lower is definitely reasonable to expect.

Thanks OP, finally decided to buy one, I was thinking about buying the E310, but this one is a little cheaper and looks better, also it has 2.2 HP vs 2 HP on the E310... Hopefully the Reconditioned isn't a problem, it has 5 year warranty, so let's see!

Yes, the same deal was $260 two Black Fridays ago. However, this is the lowest they've been in 2 years so I bit.

I decided to pick one up. Most of the time I make something its just for me so a 48 oz narrower container would have been ideal. But that's only offered with the e310. I figure the 64 oz container and the personal to go container would be a decent combo. The e310 new was more than this and they don't seems to sell the e310 refurbished. Might not be the best deal but still think its a good deal.

I've done a little research but could be wrong. The A3500 is the same motor as this one but with more programs. Has an all digital face. And is a little quieter due to all metal housing. But as far as blending quality it would be the same. The 64 oz low profile containers are the same however this refurb 1200 one comes with the personal container and blade which is an additional $100 value.

The 7500 is a legacy model. Doens't use the new self detect containers but still has the most powerful 2.2 hp motor. It comes with a non self detect 64 oz container.

From what I read all will give you the same end result. Even the e310 with its slightly less powerful 2.0 hp motor will do everything you need.

I have this one and I love it. The motor is refurbished but everything else is new. I got it with the under blade scraper and it was the best decision if you are trying to pour the smoothie on a cup it is a bit hard if you don't want go make a mess. Regarding performance this is hands down the best blender I had. The smoothies I can make now are on par with the ones I would get from a smoothie shop. I also did soup on it and I was shocked that it actually cooked it and it was good. This model comes with a container that can go on the dish washer while the classic ones are not supposed to

The machine does not turn on without having the container. You can also use the app and select what you are making and the blender takes care of the rest. It is specially good with smoothies. It starts slow to break things a bit then ramps up speed and done you have amazing smoothie
