Was excited for 60 a year, not 60 off a year
The question is, is it worth it for you.

Using those prices, you get:
Unlimited: $12/mo.
Unlimited Plus: $16/mo.
Unlimited All Access: $18.50/mo.

Use the link in zar's post to see which tier you'd need for your local Regal theater. Then, if you know how much your regularly-priced ticket would be, you can compare it to having Unlimited. Keep in mind, this price is for regular screenings; there's an upcharge for anything premium format, like IMAX, 4DX, RPX, and ScreenX.

If your regularly-priced ticket is more than the monthly cost, and you go to the theater 12 times a year, you'll save the difference. If it's less, then you'll need to see what the break-even point is, and decide if you can or want to see that many more movies in the theater to make it worthwhile.

I remember almost biting on this deal in the past and wondered how COVID affected it: for those that had this subscription in 2020 and lived in places with shutdowns like NYC, how did Regal refund/address having a membership and not being able to see movies?

Maybe someone can correct me, but this 60 bucks off is only for the unlimited and in NYC you need Unlimited All Access.

EDIT: Actually I'm wrong. This does appear to work with Unlimited All Access.

Personally, I'd say no... might not be smart to be crowding with others in a theater. Even during the Moviepass days, my relative who LOVES movies was basically forcing himself to go out at least once a week to see different movies. I'm just not sure that there are regularly good enough movies to actually see in theaters... especially these days.

Besides that, apparently there's like 3 levels of access by the way for Regal - Unlimited, Unlimited Plus, Unlimited All Access... not sure how that all figures in here though. Even if IMAX was included though, again, I'm not sure there's enough good choices out there.

Personally, I'll stick with my anime subscriptions, maybe the $1 hulu sub, disney+, and Netflix (for a while longer)... If I want to see a movie, I often can wait for it to be on Redbox for $1.50 - or at the library for free. (The exception being a few movies like the upcoming Spiderman one). I guess that's not the case for most people, but I digress.

Another thing about deals like this is they make me feel like I should pressure myself to see more movies. Same feeling as when work starts in 5 min and you are 5 min away. Feel 'go' when I'm thinking about seeing movies. Makes it not enjoyable.

I bought this last year and was actually sitting in a theater by myself for a late show when they announced they were closing...lol So they paused all memberships, well at least mine until they reopened. If I remember correctly, they reopened in summer, then closed again in the fall? So only when they were open did time tick on my membership....and they gave me a 3 month extension as a courtesy. So I got full use out of it and saw plenty of movies.
Its like someone else said, if you are a movie person ( I am) and you have a Regal close to you, it's a solid deal.

I had this exact scenario happen to me, as I had just subscribed right before the lockdowns. They froze my membership as soon as their theaters shut down, so basically the entire pandemic didn't count against the 12 months of the membership. For reference, I bought the year membership in February 2020 and I'm still using it today.

This is what I did as a kid without the subscription. As an adult there is a subscription now...nice!

I am wondering if it comes with some of the hassles as movie pass before.
-can book ticket in advance and will either have to go get ticket early or risk sold out for popular movies
-theaters are having more different gimmicks for higher prices like recliner seats, imax, rpx, 3d, etc, that will further limit the show time for you if you don't want to pay extra (movie pass actually can let go to different theaters and not just regal)

Also seems you have to use the app instead of the movie pass credit card so if I need to get a couple more passes for kids and family, how do I do it? And will it be difficult if you try to buy a few tickets with seats together?
