I just picked one up today at Costco and can confirm that the Roku YouTube app does support speed change range of 0.25x to 2x.
Tested the 2x speed and the audio is played quite fast to a point of being unintelligible!
But if your brain works 2x faster than mine, then you should be able to understand it!

Be forewarned that this model seems to have bad vignetting / uneven brightness at the corners and edges. It's very noticeable with solid colors (do an all white screen test via YouTube and you'll see what I mean!) ... but not so for movies and dark backgrounds. Thought it was a defective tv, but a replacement had the same issue but was slightly less uneven.

I'm keeping the replacement since it has all the other bells and whistles for the given reasonable covid, post China tariff price of $349 at the warehouse:

* eARC
* Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos
* Auto Low Latency Gaming Mode + VRR
* Native Roku which I wholeheartedly recommend
* Alexa basic voice control via Roku Skill (manual did not disclose how to enable voice activation)
* Very loud sound which is decent enough for everyday use
* Reasonably bright screen using the "Brighter"/"Normal" video screen options

Why is this thread labeled "expired" and moved to Deal Talk? Costco stock is somewhat regional, so it'll be OOS for some zip codes and in stock for others

Does anyone know how the model lines of the Hisense compare?

R7G5 vs U6GR5?

Thanks. Just ordered this one as a secondary TV and will take back the TCL 50" from Walmart (for $300). $60 difference is worth it for the size and extra warranty. Plus, I have the R6 version of this TV in the basement/gym -bought from Costco last year for $280- and it's been great.

Still in stock for my area. Picked one up. Will go in my office as a monitor for teams and zoom calls.

The warranty is what sold it for me. I have the 7 year total on my new OLED bought in September. 5 year is not bad in this price range.

U6 is a higher tier than R7 but in my use case (secondary TV), $100 less is more important.

Can you share any details what makes it good. I'm considering getting one from costco.

- Roku is in-built? so no need to get another roku for this?
- Contrast ratio good?

I'm looking for a TV that can adjust YouTube play speed. Something similar to the YouTube App in phone. My current Samsung TV has a YouTube App but can't adjust the speed. To be exact, it can play 2x speed without sound. Anyone here can confirm if this TV can adjust YouTube speed?
Thanks in advance.
