retais for 119.99. Not as cheap as last year but still a heck of a deal for a RTR R/C. Great r/c to start kids with as it's really durable and replacement parts are readily available.
These are the best bang for your buck RC cars you can get. Yes they run $20-$30 more then some big box stores ones but these are Hobby grade vehicles that can withstand a good amount of beating
What's the runtime on the stock battery? And any suggestions for a 2nd? Thanks
You want to throw away the stock battery and go LIPO. You will need a charger and batteries.
You need 2S LIPO with EC3 connector. 5200 mah would be good to start. Zeee branded batteries are the highest recommended cheap batteries. I bought hoovo batteries from Amazon last year, and they are still going strong.
I had sticker shock at the price of things in this hobby since I'm a cheapskate. It is soooo worth it, and I just bought my second real RC, but the granite is still spectacular.

What did you go with for the 2nd RC? I bought 2 of these last year for my boys and we love it also
Got this last year. I haven't used it a ton or abused it, but it's often broken. First the steering servo, then diff outdrives (common problem), then the spur gear and motor. My $60 car is now a $150 car. It's a lot of fun, but I'm beginning to think I don't have the patience (or wallet) for hobby RC.

I bought a used Kraton 4S BLX. The 6S Kraton is the most popular. The Kraton is heavily modified for durability by the previous owner, so I hope that keeping my power low, it can last.
The guy broke the outdrives while he was demonstrating it for me when I was buying it…..

It comes with a 2 year warranty. My motor was making a loud noise and they sent me a new motor. Warranty support was easy. It turns out my motor wasn't bad and I'm still running everything 100% original.
I'm not a big basher though. I like driving around and I keep the power lower based on the age of the kids driving.

How did you get warranty support? I sent an email to their support email when my steering box broke, never got a response.

The 2 year warranty makes this absolutely worth it.
