why do people really think a $16 lifetime VPN deal is legit?

don't touch anything related to banking / finances, crypto and anything sensitive requiring a password and you will be good to go.

They will be MiTM / mining traffic data, along with your personal information... Ad injections seem also very likely, as they strive to cover bandwidth costs.

You have to be a very special kind of fool to trust some random password manager ("PassHulk" ) with your passwords, also.... https://bitwarden.com/ if you need something legit.

If anyone is wondering, I have used the following services with FastestVPN:

1) Netflix US
2) Netflix UK
3) HBO Max
4) Disney Plus
5) Hulu

I've used Hulu on my Fire TV stick on my TV. FastestVPN has an app for Fire TV.

You get lifetime vpn. But the other 2 options are given for 1 yr only. They aren't for lifetime.

I'm in Illinois where online sports betting is legal but it did not work on my work VPN in Wisconsin. The sports betting sites are accessible from anywhere but when you go to place a bet it has to verify your location.
Omg, you crossed state lines!!

Can u stack VPNs? I.e. sign into one VPN after signing into another ? I can't see why not.

My theory is that maybe 2 cheap VPNs stacked together might be cheaper than one good one. It's a Slickdeals theory.

I'm sure you could but it'd probably be so slow to be unusable, especially if you are using 2 of the cheap ones that don't get good speeds to begin with.

It sounds like you are alleging napharious activity without evidence. Windscribe did the same thing offered lifetime and multiyear VPN's for next to nothing when they started. They are still around. $16 lifetime isn't sustainable, but if it grows your customer base and word of mouth referrals then its worth it for the company as they grow.

I too got this last year. I didn't want to make the same mistake I did with windscribe by missing out on their lifetime deal eons ago. I still use windscribe because it works better for me, but I only have a few years left. Speeds seem ok on Fastest.
I love windscribe.....I was able to grab the lifetime deal but this maybe good for a backup for this price

I got this a couple of years back and use it regularly for simple stuff - streaming and accessing foreign sites. Has worked fine for me - not a power user.

I bought this long ago for $5 so cheap, I used to torrent for 2 years torrents and if you set it up right configs I received no ISP letters (even though it disconnects randomly).

However, today I would not recommend this VPN for torrenting. It used to be great when their US servers allowed torrenting until a few months ago they disabled it and quietly removed it in the FAQ.

Now you would have to use Canada servers to P2P torrent, but half the time it doesn't even connect to the server. They even spam emails saying I need to upgrade from Basic to Pro Plan ($2/month) even though it lifetime what a joke. Go get Windscribe deal 3yrs for $69.

I dont expect this to last a lifetime in dog years... but, at $17, even if it only for a year or so, it's not a bad deal.

Agree and on top of all that, these free or one time fee VPNs will most likely turn in your info upon request (and because of the data mining and ad injection on the users, they record all of your activities). Spending money on legal battle is not in their business interest as they mainly target the low price market and not the privacy concerned market.

I have been using this VPN for past 3 years. Got lifetime subscription from stack social. I think it does the job of unblocking regional content. Speed is not super fast but does the job for 1080p streaming. It occasionally has issues where the app is able to detect your location but usually gets fixed in few days time. Longest I had issue with this service was last year when India servers were not working for almost 2 weeks but again I paid $15-17 couple years ago so it was worth it. Also my sole purpose of using this VPN is for streaming, please buy this at your own discretion.
