Curious what you guys do with the power on/off buttons like what circumstances do you decide to not have a device "connected"
There's a lot of various USB devices that I've had over the years that seem to often need to be unplugged and plugged back in to get them to "reset" and do their functions properly. What can I say, they were cheap devices, I doubt they were intended to require that. So, anyway, my point is that that's probably 90% of what I use those buttons for, it's a lot more convenient to just turn the device off/on to reset it with a button than to plug/unplug every time.

Not reallly, everyone has different experiences. I can have an hdd sitting around for years and have it go poop, and I can have one just stored next to it for the same amount of years and have it be fine. I have 2 8tb drives than run on the hydra network and plex and have one failed after constant use while the other is fine. I'm merely stating my experiences with the power off switches which is beneficial for HDD's that require its own power source. You don't have to go out of your way to prove someone wrong like you do on other comment sections... (yes you in the computer deal section)

I own a ton of the 4 port ones. I use them on every computer I own.

I had the 10 port one. Beware it's split the top ports are data and the bottom 3 ports only supply power no data.
Failed a little over two years outside warranty. I would not buy it again. I would go with a different brand. They lost my confidence with this product. Though I like their products in general...

RGB on my keyboard is annoying when trying to sleep. So this is great that I can press a switch to turn it off when I go to bed.
