According to the reviews, the silicone heat dissipation shim cannot make contact with the metallic cover. That makes sense, given that you have to slide the cover on. This makes the enclosure a liability because your nvme drive will heat up and the extreme heat build up will prematurely kill the electronic components. I recommend that you avoid this design, even if it's on sale.

This is also a good nvme enclosure. I have been using it with my xbox for half a year. no problem so far. I got it with 20 bucks. Right now it's on sale for 16.
