This is the year-round price, by the way. Still a good deal though.

Hard pass. Although I have been a long term subscriber and supporter, they are requiring people to switch to their cloud storage with 1Password 8… no more local only Wi-Fi sync option for your best kept secrets.

I was just asking myself how can I spend $100 for things my browser does for free and then this! Yay

Which browser are you using that automatically fills out the username and password of on other apps? Or that auto fills out the one time password codes (2FA)? Or lets you securely and easily share passwords with family? Asking honestly, currently on the market for a password manager. 1password seems to be a good option but in my opinion is too expensive.

Exactly. Bitwarden is free and open source. Been using it for a few years now and have no complaints.

I am a long time 1Password user and it really does work quite nicely. I end up sharing a family account with my brother(neither of us have access to the contents of our private vaults), further the shared vaults is a great feature to share common credentials.

Sure it costs $ but well worth it for me. Bitwarden seems to be a great option and has all the features that 1Password has, but the moment you want some of the premium features as TOTP etc one has to pony up some $$(nothing wrong with that)., but 1Password has served me well for I would say a decade if not more.

I was using it for 6 months now. Somehow I find 1 password is quite useful to access across platforms and devices irrespective of the browsers. So, this is some nice deal which comes around the year as I got the same offer when I signed up.

Read their Whitepaper about how they wrap the keys. Then make an informed decision. It's mostly readable!
