I bought it 2 years ago and regret it. I keep it around for a backup.

I got one of the previous $13 deals and set it up on my router (fresh tomato open firmware)
Using the provided settings I got a lot of disconnects, so I had to change what they sugest putting in the custom configuration section of the settings.

If you want to avoid disconnects with this VPN on a router, use these settings in your custom configuration:

auth-nocache
nobind
persist-tun
persist-key
remote-random
remote-cert-tls server
route-metric 1
auth sha512
keysize 256

#mssfix 1430

reneg-sec 14400
resolv-retry infinite
keepalive 30 120

tun-mtu 1500

All the rest of their settings are fine.
It's not super fast, and they only have 3 or 4 torrent supporting servers. But it works.
Lifetime for $13 is ok in my book.

I have this. Devices includes different browsers on same computer. And sometimes it will even register the same browser more than once. You can only remove 1 device a week. So annoying

$59.76 for 28 months so it's $2.13/mo for Surfshark:
https://surfshark.com/influencer/...uncensored

I bought Windscribe's lifetime plan, which is slow as hell especially for Japan. Anybody can comment on Surfshark in terms of speed? I am considering getting another VPN with decent speed for foreign servers.
I use Surfshark. I get 90-95% of the speed I get with my VPN off, which is about the most you can get with a VPN. Very happy with it, it has a ridiculous amount of locations, and it's not a part of the 14 eyes. Never been happier with a VPN.

Yes it is. I used it to get cheap YouTube premium. They have India too.

I been using this VPN for over 2 years. Has always worked. No complaints. They have streaming VPN also.
That is a great idea. Any tricks to signing up from'India'? Like any issues with phone verification to a non Indian phone line?

🤔

How does that work, at that price. They must be making money some other way. Not sure if I trust them.
It's their lifetime NOT yours.
The business can fold tomorrow and you're SOL !!

When the product is free (or almost free), you become the product.

Just keep in mind that it is founded and run by Russians. The app is suspicious at the very least - it is constantly running in the background even after you turn the app off and close it. There is no way to stop this process (check your task manager) other than restarting your system

This one has worked fine for me for over a year now. Only use the desktop windows installer, though. No apps. Software is a bit slow but once its loaded its fine.

I bought this the last time it was $13. I checked out on SS without issue. Still using it these days. I really love the mobile app because it allows you to make app exceptions so the VPN doesnt interfere with my bank and other stuff.

On desktop, I dont know how I could do that. Some services, like Final Fantasy XIV, panics when it sees VPNs and will lock your account until you change your password even if you have one-step password on.

Aside from the VPN, I have ublock Origin, Privacy Badger, Decentraleyes, noScript, and HTTPS everywhere to take care of internet browser security. Really solid experience altogether.

During the last sale, slickdeals comments were saying not to use KeepSolid's program but they're just fine. You don't have to use it and they have nice guides on their website to show you how to use OpenVPN.

Wrong. I have been using vpnunlimited/keepsolid for the past few months and it does turn off all processes. Probably annoying so, but it's quite helpful when it farks up and acts wonky as a result of me configuring my internet settings.

VPNUnlimited/Keepsolid is American, btw.

They make money by selling the base service low and when you login, you realize you have to pay $99 for the lifetime subscription for DNS firewall, custom IP, and SmartDNS.
