Is the dyson 1875W? I believe this one goes as high as a 15 amp circuit would allow. So unless the dyson has a portable nuclear plant inside the hair dryer generating more heat, they will dry approximately the same.

This only has 2 heat options (hot/warm). $11 one has 3 heat options (hot/warm/cool).

I think the difference is in number of temperature settings and the $11 also shoots ions or something. They both have the cool option.
