This is a great chromebook for the price.
at $149 I got another one last time. a few weeks ago.

the first time I paid $199 for it two months back. typing reply on this right now.

Comments
- runs android and google play store natively.
- Touch screen is very good to have especially when running android apps. with primarily touch interface.
- can run linux apps

so you really have all three app environment at the same. . crome os apps, android apps, linux apps.

battery seems to last a good while.
while screen is not the greatest it is IPS and pretty good.

quality feel is pretty good for $149.

I have alot of tabs open and don't really notice much lag if at all. it's a good surfing and media consumption device.

So I just got mine up and running. Well partially. I'm running as a guest and I'm noticing it only has 1.8GB available in storage management. I thought this was supposed to be a 64GB eMMC. It shows 154MB in use.

Is something wrong, or did I get an open box item?
it also shows it has a battery cycle count of 2 and I just plugged it in at 57%

Edit: I see the full space available once I logged in using a Google account. when I was on guest account it only allowed 2GB of total space. everything seems to be working fine now.

Guest users on a Chromebook don't have access to the primary user's internal storage. Guest is allocated enough temporary storage (I believe it's allocated in RAM vs. on the eMMC) which allows them to browse the Internet, etc. When they sign out, everything is deleted as though they never signed in.

That one looks almost the same with a very similar model number (82kn0004us vs 82KN0001US). However, that one only shows 32GB eMMC where this one is 64GB eMMC, that one shows the processor slightly faster, plus a different color.

I just ordered two days ago from walmart.com the Acer for $217

Can anyone give any comparisons or pros and cons between that one and this one? Other than the screen size. I don't have any experiences with a chromebook, only laptops. The chromebook will be for my 9 year old niece. I personally prefer the smaller 14" screen vs the 15.6" screen, but i'm sure kids will like the bigger screen.

it should run it. it native support android and it has ARM CPU and should have better compatiablity.

edit:
I don't see it available for the device when look at the app store. the may need tyhings like gps/acceleratorometer access. who knows.
buy almost all the apps I use it is supported
