for those who missed out on the great deal on Costco's M51a-H6, the V51-H6 seems to be a decent plan B.

Rtings have it at 7.6.

Target and Bestbuy have it at 199.99, down from regular price 250.

Have the same issue with a Samsung soundbar. Unfortunately, unless you get a soundbar with adjustable volume for the center speaker - most low end ones don't - this will be a problem. I also think the positioning of the front speakers contributes to this problem because with a proper surround system you'd have good separation between the front left, right and center speakers, but that's not something I can say for sure.
Which Samsung model you have? I ordered the Samsung 600A model and yet to be delivered. From the reviews it looked like the voice clarity is good with that. Of course that mode is more expenseive than this.

How does this compare to samsung q65T?
The Q65T model has pretty bad reviews. The next models Q600A,700A and 900A are have better reviews.

Got this last year for black friday for $150. It's a solid deal for those who want a budget entry level sound bar. It has dolby digital and DTS, but no atmos.

The surround speakers are connected by a proprietary speaker wire to the sub, but the sub is wireless and can be placed anywhere in the room (near an electrical outlet). Speakers wires are about 15ft long. You can place the surround speakers behind you, or in front. You have the option of using them for surround sound, or the can copy the soundbar.

There use to be issue with user experiencing sound drop out, static hiss, and popping sound. But the recent updates since then - most recent was earlier this year - have all stopped all of the dropping sound issues for my set. You'll need to download the firmware from Vizio's website, install on a usb, and connect the usb to the soundbar to update. Takes about 10 minutes.

Overall this soundbar has great bass, but my favorite has been the dialogue setting which allows me to hear conversational scenes much better at night when everyone is sleeping. Definitely worth the buy.

I just bought this at Sam's Club $169.88. In person stock was high. Plugged it in. Immediately paired with Roku tv and the wireless sub.

Volume control in one is convenient. Sound is great. Remote control had a neat screen read out so you can scroll through the many options.

Watched a GOT episode. The sound of Haftor Bjornsoon crushing the guys head was impactful as hell. Sub is just right. Never fails to deliver a scene that requires it.

Speakers are active in the rear and are called upon more depending on the scene. Overall quality is great for the price imo.

FYIs.
-it comes with 3 cable options for front sound bar, so u're covered no matter what until u upgrade
-rear speakers are wired to the sub. Sub had a short power cord. Rear speakers wires are rather long.
-great volume control lights (8-10 or so vertical lights on the left side of bar) on the bar and on the remote to let you know what you're doing (my other system only has a single light to communicate, more guesswork in that case)

I'm no sound pro. I'm sure there's better. I just know we watched 3 seasons of GOT with only our Roku TV speakers. It definitely was far less immersive.

If you want quality go Klipsch or some other higher quality.

My bad, I thought it was Q60T that was being referenced, which has bad reviews on Amazon.

Had anyone had trouble with audio sync or popping noises with this one? I got the M51a-H6, but get a popping noise every 2 minutes and audio sync issues make some inputs unwatchable. Firmware update didn't seem to help. I'm considering "downgrading" to this one.

EDIT: Tech support just had me do hard resets, which didn't solve anything. Then they tried to initiate a warranty replacement. No thanks, M51a-H6 is getting returned. Kind of reluctant to pull the trigger on another Vizio, but maybe this one, being simpler, will actually work?

Yes, the affordable Vizio soundbars sound great for the price. But they are full of bugs, often disconnecting or losing signal. If you decide to buy any Vizio soundbar, I highly recommend getting a dedicated smart plug to remotely power cycle it. You will need to do this regularly. Happy shopping!
I have the Vizio 5.1.4 SB46" f6,,,its "lost its mind" once in 2 months. Is the smart plug a known "hack" to keep it working? Did you read this somewhere? Just trying to figure out how this works? Does unplugging it every week for a few hours accomplish the same thing?
Interesting...I would have thought messing with the power cycling/wifi settings would make it more prone to screwing up. Right now I'm trying not to breathe while using it. I've got it working but it took me 2 hours to "pair" it again. All the lights flashed and the vizio voice guy had me wanting to put my hand thru the wall "searching...searching...searching...found...found...found" (sounds like Ben Mehndelson laugh out loud)

The customer reviews on this V51-H6 system and the M51a-H6 tell their (very different) stories. The M51a has a high rate of hardware issues, shown by 1/3 of the reviews at 1 star for problems. The V51 does not.

This V51-H6 system is solid, according to user reviews. My Costco had the M51a in stock (which most customers were grabbing because of the "$110 off") but I grabbed this V51 because of both the glowing Rtings.com review and the user reviews.
