Jesus the horrible misinformation people feel so comfortable spitting out on tech products is absurd. The ElGato cam is pretty much unanimously regarded as the best standalone webcam money can buy. The Logitech Brio 4K is garbage. If you go to 60 fps you get ghosting and blurriness during motion and most importantly you lose the control of the ElGato camera. Not to mention the auto settings are horrible and it simply doesn't compare with exposure, noise levels and skin tones.

Please don't listen to random SD commenters recommending the years old, outdated Logitech Brio 4K, especially for more money. It isn't better in any possible way and there's a reason not a single tech YouTuber or video review you'll find on YouTube will say this. Everybody loves the ElGato webcam.

What's to say your post isn't misinformation? I purchased both a couple of months ago to upgrade the WFH setup. I WANTED to like the elgato more... I have their wave xlr, a couple of stream decks, keylight, a couple of their master mounting arm setups, the elgato portable greenscreen, I really like their ecosystem, especially with the stream decks! That said, the brio was obviously better, and I tested in a few scenarios (using keylights to do a few different studio lighting setups (both sides lighting 45 degrees on each side of cam was best), ring light, and low light "just to see". I dunno if it was software (given the hardware of the elgato seemed so much better), but the brio looked better in every way. My experiences were just like this guy's (great video), so here is actual evidence of experiences vs. a pretty ranty post without evidence: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSilVSS0k7A

Where is the discount code applied during checkout? I looked multiple times and can't find it.

Personally, for $150 on Amazon / best buy I would go with the Logitech Brio. For $15 more you get 4K 30fps or sharper 1080p 60 fps and does better than the elgato facecam in different lighting scenarios.

Windows Hello is nice on the Brio but Elgato's software running is more straightforward than the 2-3 logitech camera software options and the bloated Razer stuff that wants you to create a login.

Can anyone elaborate on the vs Brio comments here? I was comparing their spec pages and it seems like the Elgato is listing actual cam specs/terminology (aperture, CMOS censor, lens, focal length etc) and the Logitech is a bit more vague. "It has a mic, it has USB, it can do 4k"

Found this video. idk IMO looks better than the brio, but I the C920 seemed to have pretty nice all around performance. For $130 idk, the $70 C920 seems to do better
