FWIW I bought a pair of these about 12 years ago. Used one a little, the other was kept in a garage closet. Didn't use the one for several years, then about 5 years ago I got it out to use with a brad nailer. It lasted a couple of days and then had a big split in it. So I got the still new in package one out and as soon as the pressure hit it (around 100psi) it also split. Out of warranty and Metabo/Hitachi refused to do anything.
So consider it a perishable item, whether you use it or not, stored in shade or not etc.
