I am now coming up to the 1 yr anniversary of my "free app use" so will need some Slickdealer pointers on what is the best way to get some usage from the bike while avoiding a $40/month subscription, so if anyone knows please advise, thanks

For the record, Peloton subscription also cost 39 bucks if you are using a Peloton bike for the entire "integrated experience", Echelon is literally copy and pasting the same homework. It's just that Echelon app and their classes also seem to be not as good compared to Peloton, hence the "Peloton hack"
Not sure how well that's gonna work for this bike because this bike default has a screen. Maybe there is a way you can jailbreak it to load something else, or use the screen for the free ride and get the biometric data from there while you use a phone for classes/tours etc. But setup like that works pretty well for people going for the Echelon Connect Sport / Echelon Ex-15 which are the basic model they sell on Walmart / Amazon that comes with no screen and has a mechanical instead of a digital resistance knob.
@PurpleStove2383 posted a fantastic post w/instructions and tips in the other Walmart Echelon forum:

Anyone have a concrete answer?
I bought the bike yesterday and upon setting up the account with purchase info, it indeed shows 365 days remaining of the free trial. What an awesome deal to get the 4S+ with the extra things that the $S had been missing.
