If you are a big iOS / "Home" user, I found these Eve (HomeKit compatible) products to be WAY more reliable than Wemo.

Coupon code: SAVE-BIG-25

Eve offers:
Lights, cameras, outlets, power strips, LED lighting options and more.

I personally own two of the power strips and like them a lot.

I'm a big fan of Eve products. They have the best iOS app for configuring HomeKit devices and providing more options than Apple's native app

Nice app, HomeCam is better for video viewing.

Their products are really overpriced though. I love Aqara G2h cameras better.

Thanks for the tip. I haven't gotten into HomeKit enabled security cameras yet, but am planning on it.

Honestly, I don't own any Eve devices (yet?) but I keep reading how Eve continues to support their older products and provide updated firmware to meet updated standards (like Meta). Right now I just use the Eve app to setup automations since it offers more features and commands than the HomeKit app itself and I appreciate how Eve doesn't lock it to their own devices.

I didn't know that about Eve getting Meta support. That's super awesome.

I've tried 4 HomeKit cameras and by far my favorite camera is the Aqara G2h and my least favorite was the Eufy Cam 2K C24.

The Aqara G2h is on sale for $50 (lowest price it'll ever be) so if you're on the fence for HomeKit, now is the time to get it. Just realize there are a TON of gotchas you have to live with:

1. Can't have more than 2-3 Aqara g2h cameras streaming live or the video feed cuts out randomly. (HomeCam author has confirmed this)

2. You can only stream 2 live streams at once when off your local area network.

I also use the eve app yet have no products until now. Main reason is the added if/then functions that native homekit doesn't have.

I just purchased the eve weather station and plugs which track energy usage. I had to get website total above $100 for free ship. Total was $160 but after their 25% off was $120 free ship and no tax.

I use unifi for cameras and storage hardware. I do have a raspberry pi4 which I need to spend some time configuring hoobs so I can pipe unifi's streams into homekit. Hope its just a afternoon project.

Also hopefully home+ 5 app will go on sale tomorrow.

. . . . more reliable than Wemo.
the only thing reliable is Open Source . . . hardware should be independent

I like their light strip but the Eve button is trash. Would trigger automation randomly…
