The A80J is only $100 more for a 2021 model vs 2019 on the A9G. Is there any benefits to the A9G for someone who would just be using it to watch Movies, TV , and streaming (not a hardcore gamer) ? The A80J also has ATSC 3.0 while the A9g only has 1.0.

The A80J is only $100 more for a 2021 model vs 2019 on the A9G. Is there any benefits to the A9G for someone who would just be using it to watch Movies, TV , and streaming (not a hardcore gamer) ? The A80J also has ATSC 3.0 while the A9g only has 1.0.

Built in speakers are higher wattage(60w vs 30w) on the a9g. I still think the A80j is the better buy though.

For MOST tv watchers the a9g is better. Most people don't care about formats etc. Netflix and the like will be amazing.

I sell tvs and I own 2 Sony OLED a1e and a8f. Have No reason to buy a 2021 model. If I needed to replace one I'd buy the a9g in a heartbeat. Fyi the OS sucks but is slightly better on the 2021
