I have this variant and have about 15 games loaded. Still have half the memory left
Not true, most games are like 1 GB each, with exceptions like Walking Dead that is like 8GB? Plenty of space for a casual gamer for just games.
I'd say Amazon one with $50 gift card is better than this. You'd get double the storage and also new.

Tempted to get one of these or the 128 but how much better is the resolution in particular compared to a relatively old GearVR with a Galaxy S10 in it? That was my last VR experience and though it was pretty good - it was still pretty fuzzy.

Most of the games are around 500mb-1.5gb. Apps around 100-300mb.
64gb is fine if you don't do vr porn. You can use your computer to stream though.
dammit, looks like I'm out. 😂

Rift S hurt my eyes severely... Not really in the market for anything right now, but I'm wondering if I just need to wait a few years for the tech to advance, or if the Quest 2 is already significantly better than the Rift S. My IPD matched so I would assume the #1 problem was low FOV, since I've had the same kind of eye pain before when playing a game with the FOV set too low.
Try the Samsung, I found that way easier to use than the hardwired oculus headsets. The only issue I had was when action was moving fast on 3 different plains. That simultaneous movement really jacked up my head.

Meh. Not new, half the storage of the new ones, and the new ones are come with a $50 Amazon GC, making the cost only $50 more for 128GB and peace of mind from having a new set.
No, it is still a $100 more, you just get Amazon bonus cash that cannot be used on the headset.

If you regularly make purchases on Amazon, you'll just use the $50 bonus cash on future purchases you would have made anyways. Whether you can use it on the headset or not doesn't really matter.

Exactly. I used mine two days later. It's not hard at all.

This is so much insanely better, it's not even funny. Having properly tracked controllers and a higher res/FOV panel is a game changer

Been looking for this to play Flight Sim 2020 (from my computer) and maybe beat saber. Not really a gamer. $200 seems like a good price, that was my threshold for buying one.

I'll pull trigger, I guess I can always return if I change my mind.

It will give me an excuse to upgrade to WIFI 6 (I've been waiting for 6E to become more prevalent)
I'm just not sure if there's a new one coming soon that will make this drop further.

This is sold by Walmart, but it doesn't say who refurbished it and the description makes no mention of it. It also seems to indicate standard warranty on the description which is unusual for a refurb. I wonder if this is old stock for the 64gb model they are selling and can't sell it as new.

Purchased one, I added the 2 year accidental warranty as well. 64GB is fine, if not just spend more for what fits your needs.

64GB is very little. So much so Oculus has discontinued that variant and bumped the base model to 128gb for the same price (MSRP $299). That being said, Quest 2 is the best standalone VR headset and works very well for the price. If you're not planning to have more than 1-2 games on it at a time you can easily make do with 64 gigs.
I have a 64gb Quest 2, and I completely disagree. I have over a dozen games installed on the headset at this point and still have space. The majority of games for the Quest aren't very big.

This is the price they dumped the Quest 1 refurbs at..

There is no indication if your getting a retail box or if they are repacked..
They just aren't giving enough info so you don't know what your getting here.. I don't think the refurbs were handled by walmart the last time..

While 64gb is ok in my book, the price is high compared to the risk of what your getting..

Newer games push 30-40GB, this seems like a waste when the 128GB is only $50 more factoring in $50 Amazon credit you'll obviously need to buy games. Plus it's a refurb (gross) compared to new
I agree. People have oily faces, and a used VR unit? Yuck. Especially in a post-COVID world....

What's the risk? if you get it and its banged up, or greasy, etc, you can always return it.

Sure there is some risk if it fails after a year but 1yr should be enough to get you past infant mortality failures (in theory).

As for 64GB, that depends on the person.
I see references to a 128GB $250 offer but it sounds like that offer is expired
