Oh FFS, the $189 deal is now OOS, in store or online. I can have them notify me when it's back but most likely the sale will be expired by then. My fault, I should have ordered it right away and at worst returned it if I decided that it was not for me.

Anyone know of a way to lock in this price for later purchase when it's back in stock? I can wait. It's the price that most matters.

Alternately, any chance local stores might still have a few even though it lists all local ones as OOS? Or, that the CS desk would let me buy this combo at this price?

Or, as yet another alternative, assuming it's still in stock, can you buy the $279 combo kit and return either the hammer drill or impact driver (but NOT the impact wrench) as a hack? It's the wrench that I most need, driver is next, but I can do without the drill.

Is it a better idea to get a stronger than 12 V hammer drill specially if you're drilling through the concrete or stucco?

I doubt you can return one part of the combo unless it's itemized out.

This may be the best deal I've ever seen for a stubby combo. Thanks OP!

Got in on this one. I always miss these. They sell out fast. Only about 40 of the stubby kits left
I think OP changed the title. What was the original deal or at least the slickest deal that sold out here? EDIT: was it the impact wrench + 3ah+6ah batteries? Oh duh - just saw the original post:

Thanks, see it now.

I really need to stop looking at all these deals and consider turning off my 'Milwaukee' alert. I've created a monster :T

What I assumed, but I just thought of yet one other alternative to effectively get the now OOS $189 impact wrench kit. Buy the 3 + 6Ah, charger & case kit for $89 and wait for that impact wrench deal hack that gets it down to around $116, yielding the same combo for $205, $16 more than this OOS deal but still a great deal. Or, I can buy the same tool right now for $129 at various vendors, possibly even HD if they PM, for a total of $218, or $29 more than this OOS deal.

I just ordered the 3 tool combo at $279, but I think I'll also get the 2 battery combo for $89 just in case, and return one of them unused.

Makes sense. From what I've read around, people seem to think the impact wrench isn't going to get much lower than it is now. And as far as additional upcoming sales, hard to say but it seems like once the current sales are over it's going to be a while....maybe next Black Friday? LOL

I'm really tempted to grab one of these but I'm having a hard time justifying it considering I barely do any car maintenance. At most, I'll change the oil and filters. But removing wheels and under hood work? Nope. I replaced an alternator in our Rav4 a couple years ago... I unknowingly installed a defective alternator I bought off Amazon (1st mistake was ordering off Amazon lol) - after that failure I think I either reinstalled the old one and drove it straight to my mechanic the next day or I had it towed to him.. can't recall but I was utterly frustrated and defeated by that point.
Before that I did some "body" work on my old Camry:

LOL!!! Despite, the mismatched doors, never again. My aching wrist and fingers are probably a result of all this. All I can say is that back then an impact wrench/ratchet/etc all would have been nice when pulling parts at the junkyard. Young and stupid I was walking into that place with a standard ratchet + bolts and no breaker bar :T Anyway, despite all that I drove the car around for another couple years or so before the radiator blew while we were 60miles from home on the freeway w/ two small kids and on a hot day. I decided to just donate/junk the car after that ordeal.

Oh, and how it got to the point of me having to replace the door and fender in the first place? Well, that's a story for another time hahahaha.

Yeah, that one sold out, as the updated thread post indicates, just as I made up my mind to get it instead of the 3 tool $279 deal as I don't really need a hammer drill and preferred the 3/6 batteries. So I got the latter instead, along with the separate 3/6Ah + charger + case for $89 deal, and am hoping that either the $189 deal is back in stock at that price, or the $116 or so tool only hack comes up again, which would give me the same combo for around $16 more.

If I'd known that these deals sell out fast, way before they expire, I'd have snagged it and at worst returned it. Stupid me. Now I l know for future reference.

If you don't do much auto work, at most oil changes and tire rotations, then it's hard to justify the stubby impact wrench. It's really meant for people who do a decent amount of auto work beyond these basic tasks and want something light, small and powerful.

Of course if money's not an issue then what the hell, it's nice to have around, and even keep in the trunk in case you get a flat or something needs emergency fixing (and you know what you're doing). Hell with a proper-sized socket you could even use this with a scissor jack to power lift your car on the side of the road (it's a hack but it works with many jacks). It could also do double duty as an impact driver with an adapter.

In any case this deal is OOS and dead, so it's all moot anyway, unless you can also use the hammer drill and impact driver and get the $279 kit that's still available.

Only reason I'm considering this is because I've become a Milwaukee-whore in the past month or so with all the deals and also becoming a recent homeowner hahaha. It started with M18 and now is creeping into M12. One of the first sets I got was the M18 drill/impact driver set so technically I don't *need* another impact driver :T

But yes, the impact wrench here is OOS. I think another thread it was $130 or so haha. If I were to get a hammer drill, I'd probably want to go all out with a heavier duty M18 version of the hammer drill.
