Ah, good catch. That explains a few things...

I was originally looking at IronWolf deals when I saw this was cheaper at a larger capacity. Though for people that want cheap RAID drives shucking enclosures would mean no warranty anyway, so it's a good option depending on use case.

Shucking does not void the warranty. Ship it back in the enclosure and they'll honor it.

Yeah, exactly why I haven't bought these from Newegg in the past. Even without the CyberMonday deal, they go cheap there. But the warranty issue kills it for me.
