Just a quick note I have these and I've been happy with them. They're pretty flat sounding, maybe slightly on the warmer side but mostly neutral IMO. For most music a sub isn't necessary with these except for those needing the floor rumble of deep sub-bass in hip-hop, etc. With movies, I'd say a sub is recommended.

Be aware they can dip down to 3 ohms and need to be powered properly or they'll lose some bass tonality at higher volumes. Those few things to be aware of in your setup aside, they are absolutely some of the best tower speakers you'll find anywhere near this price range (ELAC's Debut Reference are the other model people love around the same price range). If you want a listening experience that is more on the audiophile/clean end of the spectrum (i.e. flat and clear) and you have a mid to large sized room these are great.

I honestly can't believe that these retailed $1400 MSRP for a pair when they came out

Hmm this brings the price very close to the Studio 580's. How do they compare? Anyone have any experience with both?

I have these, the center imaging is fantastic! I'd recommend them for sure, great for both music and movies.

I absolutely love my pair. I had polk s55 towers before and the triangles blow them out the water, no competition. The s55s sound downright harsh compared to the triangles. Next level for sure. Build quality is also fantastic

I do have experience with both and I pretty much agree with tlite's description of these.
JBL has a wider imaging but to me the quality of their sound is not as good.

Tlite described these as "flat sounding" but on the neutral side. I would say the 580's are also flat sounding but more on the sterile side.
IMO these produce a more accurate, clean neutral sound.
If your preference is more up front/ in your face sound JBL may be a better choice.
I would agree with the opinions that these do well with both music and movies(better than the 580's).

IMO these are a step up in quality and at this price it's a pretty good deal.

Thank you so much. Ordered a pair ! These look a lot better than the JBL's. I think I'll just cancel or return those.

I have a pair of walnut Kef Q750. Powered by a Sonos amp(new version). Do these sound good? I've heard good things about them. Looking to try a new brand.

Cancel your order. These speakers are overpriced, though not truly bad. At least they're pretty. You're going to be much happier in the long run with the 580s. Heck, you'd be much happier in the long run with the 530s and you'd have cash left over to buy a decent sub to go with them, ending up with a far better system for the same money. Triangle is more about the looks than the music. Too many resonances. Too little bass. Too high a price for what you get. You could do much worse, though. The good news is, you'll probably never know what the deficiencies are.

Also ignore words like "sterile". If the sound of your stereo is sterile, it's because you rubbed it down with bleach.

The triangles do sound good! I haven't heard the Q750s. But…

…What KEF speakers I have heard were on the flat (in a good way, little colorization of the source audio) side. I like KEFs. If your Q750s are in a similar wheelhouse to the KEFs I've heard, you can skip the Triangles, particularly if you're looking for a noticeably different vibe. They likely have similar sound signatures.

If you like to A/B gear and you like the KEFs but want to experiment within a similar general sound profile, you'll probably like these and have fun with them!

Oh and a side note the Triangles may be more sensitive to room placement than your KEFs. If you have a tough room the Triangles may not be as forgiving (though with DIRAC or other DSP not as big of a deal as if you're using vintage amps, etc. )
