Any opinions on this monitor vs the 32" one available at Costco for same price:

Damn, I wish I saw this before I purchased! I used a gift card from my Oculus 2 purchase, some trade-in credits, and a $10 voucher by redeeming pro member points. I'm not sure if I want to risk cancelling and reordering.

This seems like it might be better than the Dell S2721dgf that was a bit more expensive...this one has ultra-low motionblur / black-frame insertion. Thinking about canceling that one and getting this.

rtings puts them about equal, except they say the Dell has better motion handling, but they're comparing it without BFI turned for the Asus.

For those wondering:
https://www.rtings.com/monitor/to...shold=0.10

It seems like it may be a miss or hit when it comes to black uniformity.

I think it might have been 15 percent from that other cb site + 5 percent from Paypal/chase (that's what I did at least).

Was about to pick up. Currently running ASUS ROG Swift 1080P 144hz.

However.

Realize that I am not about to upgrade my GTX 1080 anytime soon as I'd have to spend north of 1K to make it worthwhile and I am not a desperate fella. Also realize that while my 1080 can handle ultra @ 1080p it will probably drop to sub-100FPS @ 1440p.

Awesome deal for anyone who is still on a standard quality monitor, or someone with a card able to do >100fps @ 1440p on ultra, but I am going to hold out for HDR with improved local dimming (this one has a silly 4-panel LD system).

Would get this if I didn't get the Dell. The Dell has higher peak brightness and color space coverage, so it's better for photo/video work, at the expense of lower contrast than the Asus.

I bit. $265.50 total with tax. 20% back from raku10 and 5% back on my Chase Freedom Flex for paying with Paypal makes it a just about $200 in the end. I'll take it.

The ASUS no contest for me. The Costco LG has a VA panel which I find looks worse than IPS panels, maybe I am just picky or it is a person thing but I only use IPS monitors. I also personally find 27" the perfect size for a monitor.
