Or, someone who's willing and has knowledge about those items, can help him out.. Sometimes we all don't have the time to research screwdrivers.. But I always appreciate those that have attainted knowledge and willing to share
This is a really nice screwdriver set to have in your bag, I bought it last year. The price is rarely $50 though, usually $30 so not that hot of a deal. Its worth it though.

That manufacturer provided photo can be ignored. The title and product description, which takes precedence, is correct in showing this item includes Slotted and Phillips bits.

I own this and have mixed feeling about this. The tip has a lump to accept different heads. That lump is surprisingly inconvenient because it often interferences with turning the screwdriver in tight places. Definitely would choose a different type given changes.

I realize it is a very low price, but not having a ratchet is pretty annoying. I would definitely spend more for a ratcheting model if one is on sale.

reviews make it sound like this is a departure from wera's typical quality tools.

Are you sure? The image shows the Phillips logo, other websites show it with Phillips written out for this model number, the reviews have Phillips bits in the pictures, and it has PH above the bit sizes, I think the pozi thing is a typo
I have this exact same set, Wera 051024. It most definitely did not include Pozidriv bits.

It's definitely a good price though. I paid a little under $30 during a price drop a while ago, so it's well worth the $25.75.

Anyone know the total length with bits in place for use? I'm looking for something about 8 inches long. Thanks.
Total length with the driver extended, including a #2 Philips bit inserted, is 7 15/16". So yes, just under 8 inches.

Collapsed, 5 3/4".

The review from "GP" is pretty accurate IMO.

Unfortunately the ratcheting one (816 RA) doesn't have integrated bit storage or the telescoping / removable extension.

I have both; the ratcheting one lives in my toolbox where I also have extensions and *lots* of bits. It's great when I need a manual screwdriver, but TBH more often than not I use an electric screwdriver (a Skil SD561201) coupled with a double-ended bit (Irwin makes one with slotted on one side, PH2 on the other).

This one stays in my laptop bag, which was really convenient pre-pandemic but now that I work from home I hardly ever use it.

If you want a good manual ratcheting screwdriver with integrated bit storage and an extension (albeit only ~ 2") you might want to look at the Kobalt double drive. The quality is good (though obviously not as good as Wera), and the double drive thing is awesome. The main reason it's not in my tool box instead of the Wera is that it's a lot bulkier and I already have bits and extensions.

Guys, i gotta level with you. I have no idea how this is better than say a Milwaukee multi bit that goes on sale every once in awhile. Feel free to down vote if you need to, but do please educate me

This Wera extendable length screwdriver reminds me of this Klein version:

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Klein.../314975057

Personally, I'm a fan of the Klein. However, the bits on the Klein don't really stay in their holder very well. Most times when I pull out the handle to change bits, a few of the bits are already unclipped and fall down to the floor.

Great price and I own a bunch of Wera tools such as the Wera ratcheting screwdriver, but read the Amazon reviews on this. Some of the complaints are very detailed and as somebody else stated - this comes with 3 Pozedrive bits and not 3 Phillips bits.
