Believe it or not, thats a really good price in today's video cards market. I sold a 2060 super for $650 on ebay just a couple of weeks ago.

Absolute best black friday/cyber monday deal I've seen. They are getting eaten up like a fat kid at a buffet. How are they new units? How is that possible? Sitting in a warehouse for a couple years?

Darn, missed it.

There will be more. nVidia is getting a bunch of old chips made because 7nm is booked up. People will buy up 2000-series all the same. Why not make a few bucks?

Are graphics cards in high demand for mining or some other reason? I thought GPU mining wasn't profitable anymore due to actual mining machines.

They sure are. A refurbished RTX 2080 goes in and out of stock on Zotac's website for $1200. They can't keep these things in stock.

Mining is currently VERY profitable. That may change in the near future, but as of now, the latest news is that GPU mining on the most profitable coin (ETH) will last at least until June 2022. That may get extended as well.
