is this better then the costco for $350, looks like it, but primarily need it as a workstation?

If you aren't going to game on the monitor, I'd definitely go with something cheaper. You're paying for features that wouldn't be of use to you.

Really wish we could get deals on some 21:9 IPS monitors. I originally decided that VA just wasn't worth it, but deals like this have me seriously reconsidering.

I got both LG and Dell. I wanted to keep both but deinitely returnign LG from Costco. It really sucks when it comes to text clarity.

Completely agree. I've been using the 2015 Dell UW3415 which has an IPS panel and these VA ultrawide deals are just too tempting.

I purchased the G7 Odyssey. This is my first VA panel. I was concerned at first but I could not be happier with my purchase. Brightness has plenty of pop with colors. Blacks are very deep. Keep in mind the G7 is a VA monitor with QLED. Hope this can be of some help to someone.

Was about to pull the trigger on this one but it seems like it has some issues with G-Sync/Nvidia cards: https://www.reddit.com/r/ultrawid...with_3070/

Same, wondering which one would be better if I'm only using it for work.

So should we get the G7 instead for a ultrawide VA? or go for this deal?

If you're going to game on it, this is better than the costco LG.

I felt the same until I pulled the trigger on one. Gigabyte 34" UW curved 144hz. Couldn't stand how it handled motion so I returned it immediately. Bought an Alienware IPS and haven't looked back. I'd rather have a smaller IPS if a big one wasn't in the budget. YMMV of course.

The G7 I purchased is a 32". The picture and motion rate is great. Keep in mind the G7 does 244hz refresh. This will not matter to some as 144hz is plenty. I upgraded from a 32" 1080p, 165hz monitor. Actually 2 as I run a dual monitor setup. For gaming, especially FPShooters I would recommended the G7. Also the G7 has a 1000 curve. I like it better than the 1500 curve I had on my previous monitors. It comes down to budget and how the individual intends to use the monitor they purchase.

I didn't see a SD post about it, but I ordered the Dell S3422DW for 379.99 [dell.com] a couple days ago. I don't game, but I ordered this because it looks like solid an all around business business monitor and I already have a 27 inch 4K Dell that's great. Just looking to upgrade to a widescreen to get the additional screen real estate for work.

I bought this from amazon for 450 a few weeks ago. Its a nice monitor, does flicker on dark scenes below 60hz, if you arent gaming you can just change the mode to fast instead of superfast and that tends to fix it. Amazon wont price match so I'm going to return it and buy it from dell, and there's some cash back right now to make it even better
