GREAT two player game! And ranked #16 overall on Board Game Geek https://boardgamegeek.com/browse/boardgame
Better game than original 7 wonders. Way more cerebral gameplay.

Was only $14.50 on Cyber Monday. I stacked with discover rewards pt deal and got one with just $4.50. Great game, a must-have for board game lovers

It's fun for first 2-3 times but unless folks who are playing it are hardcore gamers (my wife is not) then you guys might find it sitting on the shelf. We had this game for 3 years nowNot a bad price to buy and play a few times for average board game folk.

Would you mind elaborating on what you mean? I enjoy the original game, but I feel like there's so much happening that sometimes it feels like you're a little overwhelmed.

My wife and I were addicted when we first got it and put about 20 games the first 2 nights. It feels a little less random and less chaotic since you're only playing against one person. It has the same theme, but plays pretty different. The 3 different path to victory helps keep each game pretty different. You won't regret the purchase. I would happily pay full price.

Maybe I was expecting a 1:1 copy of the original when I first played this with my girlfriend, but we couldn't even finish a game because it seemed complicated. That said, seems like most people really love it, so maybe I should watch some tutorials and give it another shot.

Just commenting to say this game is wonderful. I LOVE 7 Wonders, and Duel might be even better. I don't get it to the table enough because it's only two players, but I've loved it every time I've played with my wife. Highly recommended.

Please do! You won't regret it. The Rules girl on YouTube and Watch It Played for this game are both great. Rules girl is a very quick overview that serves as a great refresher while Watch It Played is a great and quick run through.

Because the card drafting is turn-based, there's a lot more strategy in which card you take. You can take a card you need, but in doing so it might open up a card that benefits your opponent. Or you could take a card that your opponent needs, but it might not benefit you much.

If you already know how to play 7 Wonders, then nothing in Duel should feel overwhelming. All the iconography is the same and (with the exception of the green science cards) all of the cards work fairly similar to how they work in the original game.

I brought this game a couple of months from Walmart at around this price. However, I've been waiting so much to see the price drop for their expansions - Pantheon and Agora which NEVER drop in price. In fact, they are more expensive than the original game now (Pantheon for 25$ and Agora for 20$)

Amazing game in my top 5 of all time. Pretty simple to learn especially if you played 7 wonders

Careful, Amazon will ship it in a bubble mailer and it will arrive pretty dinged up. At least mine did...

Well, unlike 7W, Duel also includes a tug of war set up for the military points. If you manage to collect enough points to push the indicator into their final space, you win instantly. I always felt like the military points were a bit of an after thought in the original.
