Looks like the diameter is 5 mm smaller than standard. Could be a problem if you mix with other weights then drop them - your other weights will take more load.

True if you're looking for iron plate sets but for bumpers, prices are pretty good

If you're starting from scratch you can get a 300 lb set with a bar at Dick's for $350.

When I add the 45 pound pair the item name says 25LB pair set and the size says 45LB. Hopefully they actually ship the 45s.

Thanks for this comment. I've been using my pulley set and I maxed it. It's time to buy a decent plate set.

Do I need bumpers if I don't do olympic lifts or drop my deadlifts?

Ordered a set of 45's yesterday. I checked prices everywhere for a couple days, including past slickdeals, and this is the best price since we lost our taste and smell. Excited about having a proper deadlift setup.

I'm just getting into deadlifting and I don't drop them either, but I would like to be able to set them down a little harder. At first I wanted to buy one of those horse stall mats, but it's a multipurpose space in our basement, so that solution isn't ideal. My plan is to mix a pair of 45-pound bumpers with regular plates to take the edge off a little. I think it's completely up to you, though.

If you have a multipurpose space and want to deadlift, I would suggest crash mats from abmat, titan fitness or Amazon. You will have to stand on bumpers or a platform to be level but now you can lift without worry of damaging the floor.

This is a real good deal. I've been tracking bumper plates for the past couple of months. Good deal on all of them not just the 45s.

Appreciate the suggestion. It's a concrete slab covered with vinyl flooring and an area rug. I wasn't so much concerned about damaging the floor as I was the noise and shock, so I think bumpers should be the ticket for me. But we'll see.

That bar is trash from all I've seen.

These seem to be better quality than the everyday essentials bumper plates (the collar is embedded in the rubber), but the fact that they are slightly smaller than standard kills it for me. I really want to order these, but I'll stick with the everyday essentials plates since I want to be able to use these with iron plates without crashing into the ground as much.

Honestly, you can get any of the horse / barn mats for super cheap prices at a hardware store with bumper plates, and it'll be good to go in minimizing noise.

this is a solid price, heck, great price for plates shipped!
locally the best prices here in Houston is bolt fitness and their crumb bumper plates.
55lbs pair for $166 shipped is pretty good. Better than marketplace prices.
