Looks like the diameter is 5 mm smaller than standard. Could be a problem if you mix with other weights then drop them - your other weights will take more load.

I did not notice a strong smell, but I did move it into the garage to air out anyway. All rubbers has a slight smell and some are more overwhelming than others. What you can do is dilute dish soap with water and squeeze dry the towel to wipe clean the rubber which will help remove some of the smell. Remember to not soak the rubber just wipe it clean and than dry it with another towel.

When I workout in my basement, there are no large windows, but there is a small 12x3 inch flap that can open with a twist nob which opens for outside air. I would run a fan from across the room towards that small flip like window to clear out the smell before and during workout. I also have an air purifying running at those time too before and during workout. That helps with the smell.

I have a fair amount of rubber in the basement. From rubber mats (non-vulcanized rubber) to dumbbells and bumper plates and some other equipment. Does not matter how little each rubber smell, but when you add them all up you will smell it. That is why I use one of those smart outlets that I can remote control from my phone to turn on and off the fan before my workout to air the room. That helps a lot. Wow, I wrote too much.

Thanks for the recommendation! One thing to note, the beast barbell doesn't have the center knurl. I tend to like that style for grip on my back when doing back barbell squats

I just checked my FEDEX tracking and mine does say "Weight 45 lbs / 20.41 kgs" 1 package. But I got them both in the same package. I hope that will assure you a bit.

same, and on top of that, the item title in my order shows 25lb pair. not sure whats coming. trying to figure out on phone with walmart.

edit: walmart guy investigated and correctly said that even though the item title in order shows 25lb pair, it actually links to the 45lb pair and apparently Fedex puts it in system by indiv box weight. given OP mentioned their Fedex shipment also showed 45lbs, i think we are getting the correct 45lb pair set.

Quick question about bumpers. My wife wants to get back into weights. If i get the 10 or 15 lb bumpers, will they flex and bow if we add smaller weight plates? (ex. 15 bumper plus an iron 10 or 25 per side) I have seen some comments in the past that the cheaper weights don't hold their shape.
