Wonder if you'd noticed scores settling around a common point for the game? I'd seen even relatively successful, but otherwise radically different, playthrough experiences and strategies still coalesce around similar end "scores".

Yes, I had played with a friend of mine total 2 players through the entire game. It's fantastic and one of the best board games we played together.

It's been a while, but IIRC our score was dramatically lower on the second play-though. (We had a lot of outbreaks)
