I had one of these batteries leak, and it was about 3 weeks ago when I was checking one of the cameras. I just wiped the battery compartment out well and replaced the batteries. That's the only time I can remember having any problem in the last 10 years, so when I can get 4 AAs for $1 or less I jump on it. We switch batteries about every month or so.
